Whom Do I Trust?

Prophet Amos in the scriptures (Old Testament of the Bible) tells us that god doesn’t forget the unjust dealings done by the rich to the poor and hungry. It clearly shows that even after so many centuries man hasn’t changed as it is still prevalent in today’s life also. The rich becomes richer and the poor becomes penniless. The rich has all sought of power that is exhibited in front of the poor.

In the present world take for instance a farmer in the village he would follow a tiring schedule from morning till late in the evening in a hope of good crop harvest. In the winter he is up there in the fields watering the crops shivering in the cold just for a good harvest, and during the harvest time the merchants pay less for more grains again leaving the poor to be even poorer.

Why is it that we show our power only in front of the poor the weak and the marginalized??? Is it because they can’t rise up to confront you??? Or is it because you can’t do it in front of the others who do the same towards you???

There were once 2 friends having a bet and they decided that the looser would have to give up whatever the winner of the bet asks for. And so the winner of the bet thinks for some time and then asks the looser for a day’s time to think what he wants. The looser grants it to him. The other day the winner comes back and asks for a ride on the loser’s motorbike and the looser refuses it, and says u asked for a day’s time and I granted it to you.

We normally tend to keep such kind of acumen in our lives on worldly materials, why don’t we have such kind of acumen for eternal happiness? If such is the world whom should we trust? The present world is full of such shrewdness. So who should I trust being among such people?
